  14. For the PCs:
  15. When you finally reach the top of the enormous tower, you find that it is, in fact, a large platform supporting an elaborate structure. This stone structure, like the tower, appears circular. It is regular and symmetrical. To the right and left you see two enormous columns. Just above the entrance arch, you see a round window about 2' in diameter. Through the archway, in the middle of the structure, you see another archway and stairs leading up.

  17. For the DM:
  18. Just inside each of the four archways are stone ladders leading to small rooms with the round windows. The windows are actually panes of "clear seeing" and anyone looking through them can immediately see to the far horizon (despite fog or interfering weather conditions). Though one window faces each compass direction, the western window is shattered due to the strain of the collapse of that side of the tower. Through the eastern window the coastline of the Forgotten Realms can be seen in the distance. Through the northern window a dim glow, targeting the lost orb, can be seen around the lost cavern (area 9 on the island map).
